This is a Fearless Dragon Writers' Writing Worksheet for the book: "The Three Ninja Pigs" by author Corey Rosen Schwartz. Also included here is my Fractured Fairy Tale Storyboard Handout. The Writing Worksheet is filled with FUN prompts to guide your students so they can: Craft their own Fractured Fairy Tale; OR 'Write like a Ninja' -- applying patience and stamina to writing. The bonus 'Fairy Tale Courtroom' Storyboard Handout ties into the Writing Worksheet and helps students plot a Fractured Fairy Tale with a courtroom theme: Will the Wolf pay damages for destroying the pigs' homes? How you can use these materials: After reading "The Three Ninja Pigs," you can discuss Fractured Fairy Tales (use your own materials or purchase my FULL LESSON PLAN*--FULLY SCRIPTED with enough content to teach for 90 minutes, for the way I teach Fractured Fairy Tales), then distribute this Printable Writing Worksheet and Storyboard Handout. Have your students select their favorite Writing Choice from the Worksheet (no dry prompts!), allowing them at least twenty minutes to write their stories. If they like, they can use the FRACTURED FAIRY TALE STORYBOARD HANDOUT to draw/write a courtroom-themed FRACTURED FAIRY TALE! (Handout was designed to go with Writing Choice # 3 of the WRITING WORKSHEET.) Sharing time is next, with students reading aloud from their stories and sharing any drawings they may have created.
